Comedy Without a Title
Comedy Without a Title is an adaptation of ‘Comedia sin título’ by Federico García Lorca. This play is an unfinished text that will be extended through devising and using relevant texts of Lorca, as well as creating our own dialogues.
The play takes places in the middle of a revolution inside a theatre where a rehearsal of Mid-Summer Night’s Dream is interrupted by the Author. Tired of the lies of the commercial theatre, she crosses the fine line that divides the stalls from the stage and challenges the convention of the classical theatre including the audience in the action of the play as both, accomplice and observers; telling the truth they don’t want to hear.
With Comedy Without a Title, we aim to bring closer to the audience the history and culture of Spain without relying on the clichés that so often change the perception of the audience.
